28.01.2020 Ann-Kristin Hamke promoted to Chief Data Officer at Statista

Hamburg, 28 January 2020 - Statista has filled the newly created position of Chief Data Officer (CDO) with Ann-Kristin Hamke. She has been in charge of Statista's Strategic Market Insights division with about 50 employees since September 2016. The department focuses on the collection and processing of exclusive primary data on the business data platform. This includes market analysis and forecasts, consumer surveys, city and industry reports, but also expert tools such as the e-commerce and company databases.

As CDO, Ann-Kristin Hamke will further expand Statista's position in the area of specially generated data and enrich the platform with new content. For this project, ten additional employees, especially analysts, will be hired in 2020. Ann-Kristin Hamke is looking forward to the new challenge: "Statista has already achieved enormous growth in recent years and I am proud to bring this to another level in my new role.”

Data analysis and statistics have always been part of Hamke's passion: After her studies of business mathematics at the University of Ulm, she worked for the Boston Consulting Group in the field of pharma and medical technology. Before joining Statista, she held several positions at the e-commerce specialist About You, most recently as Head of Business Intelligence.
