In 2019, the government-funded vocational education and training (VET) field which had the highest number of enrolments in Australia, was engineering and other related technologies, of which there were 154,900 enrolments. Contrastingly, for the same year, there were 27,400 government-funded enrolments for agriculture, environment and other related studies. VET is a branch of education and training which aims to ensure enrollees have the necessary skills needed to join their chosen workforce.
