Rhode Island's electoral votes in U.S. presidential elections 1792-2020
As of the 2020 election, no U.S. president or major party nominee has ever come from the state of Rhode Island. Throughout most of U.S. history, Rhode Island was designated four electoral votes in presidential elections, apart from during the 1910s and 1920s when this was increased to five; however, due to current population trends, Rhode Island is on track to lose one of its electoral votes, which would give it just three votes for the first time in its history.
