Monthly import value of food and beverages from 2019-2024
The import value of food and beverages to Kenya in January 2024 was measured at some 25.9 billion Kenyan shillings (KSh), roughly 196 million U.S. dollars. The value increased substantially from 22.4 billion Kenyan shillings (around 170 million U.S. dollars) in the previous month. Kenya imports mainly maize, unmilled wheat and wheat flour, rice, and sugar. The majority of the goods come from Uganda, South Africa, European countries, India, and the United States.
