Trade balance of dry beans from South Africa 2000-2019
Between 2000 and 2018, the amount of dry beans exported from South Africa was relatively low in comparison to exports, with the highest volume being approximately 12 thousand metric tons in 2016/2017. In the same year, the import volume amounted to 59 thousand metric tons. As of 2017/2018, export and import volumes stood at roughly 9.7 thousand and 65 thousand metric tons, respectively. This represented a drop in exports of 18.73 percent, while imports rose by 10.17 percent.
