Rakuten Insight in August 2021, 78 percent of female respondents and 65 percent of male respondents in the Philippines who planned to reduce ordering from food delivery apps after COVID-19 restrictions were eased said that they would do so to cut costs and reduce spending. In contrast, 11 percent of female respondents and 16 percent of male respondents stated that they would do so because they had too many negative experiences with the quality of food from food delivery apps.
