Workers registered in public sector trade unions South Korea 2010-2022
In 2022, there were approximately 331.1 thousand workers registered in a public sector trade union in South Korea. According to the source, the law for public sector trade unions was passed in 2006. The legal legitimacy of the Korean Government Employees' Union had an impact on the number of registered members and membership rates for public sector unions. The aforementioned union had lost it's legal legitimacy as a trade union in 2006, but regained it in 2018.
