Peru: willingness to get the COVID-19 vaccine 2021, by region
Residents in rural areas of Peru are less willing to get vaccinated against COVID-19, compared to residents in the Peruvian capital city, Lima. When asked if they would take the vaccine, the majority of respondents in Lima and Callao (around 46 percent) said that they would wait to see the results before getting the vaccine, and only 29 percent would get vaccinated without hesitation. In rural areas, 18 percent of respondents would never get vaccinated, and another 16 percent would not do it in 2021.
