Digital competitiveness in Africa 2021, by country
As of 2021, Egypt ranked first in Africa in the digital competitiveness index, obtaining 258 points. The country was followed by the Gambia and Tanzania, with a score of 160 and 135 points, respectively. On the other hand, the least digitally competitive nations on the continent were Congo, Guinea, and Kenya, which were found at the end of the ranking. The index measures digital competitiveness by analyzing two dimensions, namely ecosystem and mindset.
