Impact of COVID-19 on projected real GDP growth in Mauritius 2019-2022
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic impacted the Mauritian economy. In 2020, the country's real gross domestic product (GDP) declined significantly by 15 percent. Nevertheless, projections made in December 2020 showed that the country's economy would recover in 2021 and 2022, with a positive GDP growth.
