Nearly one half of Moscow residents could imagine themselves voting online, according to a survey from August 2021. For the first time, inhabitants of the Russian capital had the opportunity to use remote electronic voting in the Moscow City Duma elections in September 2019. Furthermore, they could also vote for or against constitutional amendments in the summer of 2020 and in legislative election to the State Duma in September 2021.
