Contraceptive use among women in Angola 2010-2021
As of 2021, nearly 16 percent of women aged 15-49 years in Angola used contraceptives - either traditional or modern methods. Among Angolan women who were married or in a union, the contraceptive prevalence rate was slightly higher, at roughly 17 percent. On the other hand, the rate stood at 14.7 percent among unmarried women. In general, the usage of contraceptives in the country has marginally improved in the last five years.
