Missed cancer treatments due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe 2021
Between April 2020 and March 2021, 5.6 percent of Romanian respondents reported that they could not receive a cancer examination or treatment (including a scheduled surgery) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the highest share across the provided European countries. In Slovakia 5.3 percent of people were unable to access cancer treatment, followed by Italy at 3.1 percent.
