Prevalence of alopecia in China 2020, by age group
A survey conducted in December 2020 concluded that hair loss had become one of the ten most prevalent health problems. This is especially the case among the younger generations. One in three respondents born after 1995, and 29 percent of respondents born between 1990 and 1995 claimed that they were suffering from hair losses. Older people are less concerned about the matter, as only 12 percent of the respondents born before 1970 believed that they had alopecia.
