Deaths from non-communicable diseases in Kenya 2010-2019
In 2019, the number of deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Kenya reached 119,958. It was the highest level recorded since 2011, when 87,865 deaths from such illnesses were registered. Also known as chronic diseases, non-communicable conditions are of four types: cardiovascular, cancers, chronic respiratory, and diabetes. The occurrence of death from NCDs in Kenya increased annually.
