Instagram account effectiveness in companies in South Africa 2019-2022
As of 2022, likes were considered the most frequent method among South African companies for measuring the effectiveness of their Instagram accounts, as 41 percent of those indicated using this method. This marked a noticeable decrease in adherence to this method compared to the previous years, especially in 2019, when 64 percent depended on it. Mentions and comments were the second most used method in measuring account effectiveness, with 40 percent, followed by Click-through rates at 32 percent of the companies reporting adopting the method.
