Share of consumers who sought and purchased insurance worldwide 2022
In a 2022 survey conducted among consumers globally, 76 percent of Indian consumers searched for insurance and 41 percent of them bought coverage. In general, consumers from advanced markets searched for insurance less than those from emerging markets. For instance, only nine percent of consumers bought insurance in Germany and Japan.
