Prevalence of prostate cancer in China 2017-2026
In 2021, almost 121,000 new cases of prostate cancer were recorded in China. The prevalence of the disease is expected to rise in the coming years, exceeding 161,000 cases in 2026. Despite its high prevalence, especially among the older population, most patients survive prostate cancer for many years thanks to its slow-growing characteristic.
