Breakdown of electricity production in Canada 2023
As of July 2023, hydroelectricity represented more than 60 percent of the electricity generation in Canada. The hydroelectric energy production in the country during the last decade remained relatively stable at an average of 380 terawatt-hours. Other important electric power sources in the North American country were nuclear energy and natural gas.
