Private health facilities in Mexico 2004-2022
Between 2004 and 2022 the number of private health establishments in Mexico decreased from around 3,0000 to approximately 2,800 units. Overall there has been a downward trend in the number of private health care establishments in Mexico, with the number of facilities peaking in 2005. Private health establishments refers to the number of medical facilities that were operational and offering private hospitalization services at the time of the reference. As of 2021, the hospital considered as the health care establishment with the highest level of quality in the Latin American country was a private facility, namely Médica Sur.
