In 2022, the average waiting time for hospital diagnostic tests in the Netherlands varied greatly by the type of test. The average wait time was over six weeks for a colonoscopy. On the other hand, the average waiting time for an x-ray was just one day. Most diagnostic test wait times were under the maximum acceptable waiting time of four weeks.
