Nigeria: share using digital financial services by type 2023

In 2023, the use of digital payments for goods and services in Nigeria reached 40 percent of the country's population. This was a significant increase compared to 2020 when the share was nearly 30 percent. On the other hand, the population that received digital income payments was 17 percent in 2023. This was only one percentage point higher than in 2020.
