In December 2021, the average market yield of 3-month treasury bills on U.S. government securities amounted to 0.09 percent. Due to increased policy rates by the U.S. Federal Reserve, interest rates on government securities rose throughout 2022, reaching an average of 4.65 percent for the 3-month treasury bill and 4.81 percent for the 6-month treasury bill.
