EBIT of Daimler AG 2021

Daimler's figures for 2021 indicate that the company's EBIT increased over fourfold, up to some 29.07 billion euros, compared with around 6.6 billion euros in 2020. The 2019 figure was adjusted for additional expenses related to recalls of diesel engine-equipped Mercedes-Benz cars and vans in various markets. Daimler stated that such expenses were in the range of one to 1.5 billion euros. Due to differences in size and weight, the vans segment was affected more than the cars segment.
In December 2021, Daimler AG split into the Mercedes-Benz Group and Daimler Truck.
