This survey displays the average acceptance rate of Medicaid in select U.S. metropolitan areas as of 2013, based on five medical specialties. During this year, Medicaid was accepted at 63.4 percent of the Detroit-based five medical specialties surveyed. Boston has one of the overall highest average wait times for a physician appointment. Longer wait times for physician appointments may occur due to increasing number of people that are covered through the ACA.
