Motor premiums written by insurance companies in Europe 2010-2020
The total value of motor insurance gross written premiums in Europe increased year-on-year from 2010 to 2020, except in 2013 when a slight decrease was observed, and in the final year of the time period under observation, when there was no change from the previous year. In 2020, the total amount of written motor insurance premiums reached almost 150 billion euros - an overall increase of over 20 billion euros since 2010.
