Business angels in Europe 2013, 2015-2022, by country
Among the top five countries with the largest number of active angel investors in selected European countries, the same number of investors were active in 2022 as in 2021 for the United Kingdom (UK), France, Spain, Germany, and Turkey. A total of 10,000 angel investors were active in the UK in 2022. This was followed by Germany, with 7,500 active investors. The third place ranking is held by France, with 5,500 active investors. The top five is completed by Spain and Turkey, with 3,800 and 1,500 active angel investors, respectively.
