Supplementary notes

* Medical personnel includes all full-time employees (without attending physicians and dentists), until 2003 without interning doctors. From 2004 onwards assistant doctors are also included in the number of full-time doctors. Non-medical personnel includes the remaining personnel (without personnel in training centers), with students and apprentices. According to the source, full-time employees are converted to full negotiated working hours. Partly included are employees who were not hired in the hospital on December 31, but only for a certain time period during a year.
