The source adds the following information on survey methodology: "For the DAT-Report 2018, the GfK conducted a representative survey of a total of 4032 private individuals regarding car purchase and workshop selection. For passenger car purchases, 2,599 people were surveyed (condition: the purchase of the passenger car had to have taken place from March to June 2017). The survey period was from March to June 2019. 1,433 car drivers/owners of passenger cars were surveyed regarding repairs and maintenance areas. The survey period covered October to November 2019."
