In 2022, the number of deaths caused by heart failure in Spain amounted to over 20,500 cases, an increase of approximately 400 cases compared to the previous year. Women were most affected by this heart condition during that period, recording approximately 12,400 deaths. In comparison, the number of men who died from heart failure in the European country reached 8,175 individuals that year.
