Between 2010 and 2013, the number of jobs in the onshore wind industry has grown steadily each year, reaching 19,000 jobs created in the United Kingdom. Similarly, the number of jobs created in the offshore wind industry increased over this period to 13,700 jobs. Additionally, the gross value added development from the onshore wind energy sector was measured at 1.7 billion British pounds in 2013, while it reached 1 billion British pounds from the offshore energy wind sector.
