Bank credit to the private sector in Ghana 2022, by industry
In June 2022, the highest outstanding bank credit to the private sector in Ghana was to the commerce and finance industry, which reached around 11.2 billion Ghana cedis (GHS) (roughly 908.2 million U.S. dollars).
The lowest credit amount from banks in the country was directed to export trade, which stood at 245.42 million GHS (approximately 19.9 million U.S. dollars). On the whole, the outstanding credit of banks in Ghana channeled to both the public and private sectors amounted to 63.3 billion GHS (around 5.1 billion U.S. dollars) at the end of June 2022.
