Reporting of Medicaid Adult and Child Core Set health care quality measures 2020
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) established a set of health care quality measures to improve the quality of care for children in Medicaid and CHIP (child core set) and another set of measures for adults (adult core set). State reports have so far been voluntary, but will be mandatory starting FY 2024. In 2020, there were 24 measures in the child core set and 33 measures in the adult core set comprising of physical, mental, maternal, and access to health.
