Active sourcing recruitment channels, that is, physical or virtual channels used by employers to directly identify, contact and recruit promising candidates, were regularly used by German employers in 2020. For instance, almost five percent of all new hires at IT companies were made by exploiting the own network from the recruiting agents of these companies. Furthermore, Talent Pools generated around two percent of new hires at the top 1,000 German companies during that same year.
