Of the precious metals, silver had by far the largest reserves worldwide as of 2023, amounting to 610,000 metric tons at that time. The total global reserves of the platinum group metals amounted to roughly one-tenth that amount at that time, which includes platinum, palladium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, and ruthenium combined.
