Number of offshore wind energy sites in Germany 2013-2022
Germany is home to more than 1,500 offshore wind power plants. As of 2022, the number of offshore sites connected to the power grid amounted to 1,539. This was the largest figure in the period of consideration. Additionally, there were 9 off-grid sites in 2022. These figures are still notably smaller compared to the number of wind power plants on land.
