Cancer cases rate per 100,000 population in England 1995-2020, by gender
This statistic shows the rate of registrations of newly diagnosed cases of cancer per 100,000 population in England from 1995 to 2020 by gender. Cancer is an aggregation of diseases in which cells within a part of the body begin to grow abnormally, often spreading to other parts of the body. In 2020, 590 males and 487.1 females per 100,000 population were registered as newly diagnosed with cancer. This was a decrease on the previous years rate of registration among both males and females.
