This statistic shows the rate of registrations of newly diagnosed cases of colon cancer per 100,000 population in England from 1995 to 2020, by gender. Colon cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, occurs in the colon or rectum more specifically it occurs when cells in the colon or rectum begin to grown abnormally. In 2020, 49.3 males and 37.8 females per 100,000 population were registered as newly diagnosed with colon cancer. The rate of both females and males registered as newly diagnosed with colon cancer decreased slightly from the previous year.
